Eine besondere Ehre hatte unsere U10/U11 Auswahl. Diese wurde nämlich zum stärksten Turnier der besagten Kategorie in die katalanische Hauptstadt Barcelona eingeladen.
FC Girona, Espanyol Barcelona, Damm, Cornella, Sabadell (2.Liga), CF Badalona (2.Liga) und viele weitere Leistungszentren waren am Start. Leider hat der FC Barcelona seine Anmeldung aufgrund einer internen Vereinsveranstaltung zurückgezogen.
Wir starteten mit einem 2:2 gegen den CF Badalona in die Gruppenphase. Ein anschließender 8:0 Siege gegen CF Pomar lies die Träume vom Halbfinale immer realistischer werden. Im 3. Gruppenspiel kam jedoch der Dämpfer – 0:4 gegen CF Sabadell aus der 2. spanischen Liga. Es musste nun im letzten Gruppenspiel gegen den Favoriten Espanyol Barcelona ein Sieg her um in das Halbfinale einzuziehen.
Eines vorweg: Das Spiel war an Spannung kaum zu überbieten. Tecnofutbol erzielte nach wenigen Minuten das 1:0. Ein offener Schlagabtausch auf beiden Seiten – jedoch mit dem besseren Stellungsspiel der Spanier. Man muss an dieser Stelle erwähnen, dass Espanyol sehr starke Einzelspieler in ihren Reihen hatten, und uns das Verteidiger dadurch sehr schwer viel. Offensiv agierten diese mit 3 Stürmer welche bereits in diesem Alter sehr gute Laufwege hatten. Espanyol übernahm immer mehr das Spiel und erzielte den Ausgleich sowie einen herlichen Treffer zum 2:1.
Leider klappte es letztendlich nicht mit dem Halbfinale, wir können aber auf die Leistung gegen die besten katalanischen Teams sehr stolz sein.
Wir stellten zudem mit Anika, das einzige Mädchen des Turnieres (U9) sowie 2 weitere U9 Spieler im Kader. Auf solch einem Niveau ist ein Altersunterschied dann doch schwer auszugleichen.
Eine unglaublich tolle Erfahrung welches unser Team in Spanien machen durfte. Dieses Turnier wurde nun fix in unser Programm aufgenommen, an welchen wir nun jährlich teilnehmen werden.
